The Tsakalis AudioWorks Mothership Tube Overdrive Preamp seamlessly blends authentic analogue warmth with an ultra-configurable cabinet simulator, basically setting a new standard when it comes to building your guitar rig. Loaded up with two independent channels, each equipped with extensive four-band EQ controls, Gain and Volume sections and three selectable gain stages, this preamp pedal is capable of weaving some fierce sonic magic. Dial in everything you could possible need, from sparkling and lush cleans to tight yet brutal high-gain distortions. Apply one of three user-defined cabinet simulations to each channel and quickly and easily call up and customise different lead and rhythm sounds by hitting the footswitch or toggle everything via MIDI commands.

Authentic Valve-Driven Sound with a Transparent Buffer

The sheer beauty of the Mothership starts with the two ECC83 (12AX7) valves that lie at its heart, each boasting 240 Volt internal operation. The result is a more-than-convincing dynamic response, more-than-enough headroom and some of that much-sought-after, classic valve-style sag. As soon as you activate the Mothership, your guitar signal is sent straight through the valves, giving you analogue sound without having to heft around a weighty tube amplifier. On top of that, Tsakalis has included a pack of seventy custom cabinet sims, all accessed via the Tsakalis TAW Editor app, which you can link to the pedal via USB. The housing has also been kitted out with dedicated cab sim outputs as well as a dry output, plus a serial mono FX loop for seamless integration with the rest of your pedalboard.
